Congress Partner

The Asian Federation of Biotechnology (AFOB) is a non-profit international federation established in 2008 to advance biotechnology and foster scientific collaboration across Asia and beyond. It brings together national biotechnology associations, academic institutions, research organizations, industry partners, and individual scientists committed to promoting innovation for the benefit of society.
As a leading platform for biotechnology cooperation in Asia, AFOB supports interdisciplinary exchange, strengthens regional networks, and encourages the responsible and sustainable application of life sciences to address global challenges in health, food, energy, and the environment.
AFOB organizes major international conferences, including the Asian Congress on Biotechnology (ACB), the AFOB Regional Symposium (ARS), and the Young Asian Biological Engineers’ Community (YABEC), providing opportunities for knowledge sharing, partnership building, and the development of future scientific leaders. The next Asian Congress on Biotechnology (ACB) will be held in October 2027 in Cebu, Philippines.
Through active engagement with global partners such as the European Federation of Biotechnology (EFB), AFOB continues to expand its international presence while advancing biotechnology as a key driver of sustainable development and human well-being worldwide.
